NASHVILLE
Like a true Southern
Belle, Nashville, Tennessee is like a grand lady ready to embrace as the
Welcoming City of the Deep South. Nashville is known as “America’s largest
small town”, with a real down home flavor amidst the hustle and bustle of a
major metropolitan city.
Nashville is a city
that is rich in history starting with its design. Nashville is a city
originally built in an “Antebellum” design. This means that original the city
was built in a circle with all houses facing the Capitol Building. Growth and
Urban sprawl has altered the original design beyond downtown area, but its rich
history can be found around every corner preserving the majesty of the past
with modern day growth and urban sprawl.
Nashville is also known
as Music City USA and is commonly known as the home of Country Music, but its
thriving music business is not limited to Country Music only and its Music Row
Recording Studios are the desired destination of music icons in virtually all
music genres. A stroll past any number of music nightclubs will prove that
Nashville is an excitingly fun and diverse place to visit and live.
Nashville is the home
to America’s longest running live radio show; The Grand Ole Opry. Its original
location, the Ryman Auditorium has been preserved and continues to be used
today as a favorite concert hall by musicians and fans alike. For the most
part, the Grand Ole Opry has been relocated to the Roy Acuff Theater located at Opryland USA, a
country themed amusement park and home of the Cannonball Express Roller Coaster.
Keep your eyes peeled
for your favorite music stars as they can be seen everywhere whether strolling
on Broadway heading over to the World Famous Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge, or
stopping in to find an old recording at Earnest Tubbs Music Store. Even the
biggest names in Country Music live and mingle like every day folk in
Nashville.
In making the move from
Memphis to Nashville, we will be making alterations to our many plans. Instead
of visiting Graceland, the former home of Elvis, we’ll visit the Hermitage, the
former home of President Andrew Jackson. Instead of taking a Riverboat Cruise
on the Mighty Mississippi, we’ll board the General Jackson Riverboat for a
leisurely ride up the Cumberland River from downtown to the Opryland Hotel and
theme park. And instead of racing on the ¾ mile track at the Memphis
Motorsports Park, we’ll be driving on the 1.3 mile track at the Nashville Super
Speedway.
Oh, did I mention this
is a Super Speedway? That’s right, we’ve been SUPER-SIZED and gained an extra
half mile of track so you can really open it up. Yep, 165 to 200 miles an hour is what you can
expect from this change in locale. MY FANTASY RACER truly is the fastest

Do you have what it takes?
