INTRODUCING:
MY FANTASY RACER
The Fastest Reality TV Game Show On Earth!
"MY FANTASY RACER" is a creatively new television concept involving all the chills, spills, and thrills of a Motor Sport coupled with the popularity of Reality TV in an exciting one of a kind television Game Show like atmosphere. As a stand-alone original, "MY FANTASY RACER" is so unique and different that we’re calling it the first ever ‘MOTO-ALILTY GAME SHOW’ bold enough to claim its rightful place as the fastest Reality TV Game Show on Earth! It is high spirited, high horsepower, action packed quality television entertainment, appropriate for the entire family. It bridges the gender, generation, and social economic barriers delivering a demographic that is as diverse as America itself. "MY FANTASY RACER" is destined to become a television entertainment phenomena and the next topic of conversation at water coolers from coast-to-coast. "MY FANTASY RACER" creates a perfect harmony between three popular television genres. It involves a Motor Sport theme with emphasis on NASCAR style racing, but it is not, in and of itself, a Motor Sport. It is Reality TV, but only in the sense that we use average people, men and women between the ages of 18 and 82 with no professional race car driving experience, in the starring role as the contestants. "MY FANTASY RACER" can most closely be identified as being a television Game Show, but we promise you’ve never seen a Game Show quite like this before. For all the obvious reasons, "MY FANTASY RACER" has broad appeal to the fans of racing in all formats, but it reaches far beyond to the track to grasp anyone and everyone who has ever tested their limits behind the wheel of an automobile. Virtually everyone who has a driver’s license has a story to tell, and "MY FANTASY RACER" makes a personal connection to every story told. We would be remiss in our responsibilities if we simply allowed inexperienced drivers to hop behind the wheel of our 700+ horsepower racing machines. To the contrary, each and every one of our contestants will be required to successfully complete each level of our modified professional race car driver’s training program as has been created specifically for "MY FANTASY RACER" by the Race-On Driving Experience. The Race-On Driving Experience has been offering public and corporate racing experiences for eight years with a perfect n injury safety record amongst their participants. The modified training program will be conducted over a four day period and will culminate in our surviving contestants battling it out in our no-holds barred 40 Lap Shoot-Out Race (50 miles). During their training, the contestants will undergo three classroom sessions, trackside training, a ride-a-long experience, Pit Row training, on-track training, control training, follow the pace car training, passing, close proximity race training, a driver’s endurance course, speed training, strategic car placement training, lane training, the Time Trials, and those who survive will compete in the race. In addition to points being awarded after each phase of training, ranked in order of completion from 16 points to 1 point, there will be several team challenges such as the Tire Roll and the exciting Pit Row Challenge which tests the ability of four amateurs conducting a four tire change against the clock. The professionals in the world of Motor Sports can do it in about 14 seconds. Can our rookies do it under 14 minutes? We realize that this may sound very easy, but sometimes things in life just aren’t as easy as they appear to be. In one segment entitled "Follow the Pace Car", the contestant will follow their personal training through a progressive speed challenge. It certainly doesn’t seem that tough, but when you factor in that the contestant must maintain a one car length distance at all times and ultimately reach a speed of 150 miles per hour changing track lanes, cornering, and other maneuvers, this event can separate the men from the boys and the women from the girls. Most people will do okay up until 80 miles an hour or so. At that point, previous driver education and life experience takes over and the distance between the contestant and the trainer expands. When it does, the trainer will slow down and close the gap and the challenge continues until the 150 mile an hour speed is reached. With a 16 point spread, first to last place, in each point building event, a single mistake can be costly on the scoreboard and positions will be constantly changing. Thank You! Most Respectfully Yours,
The point based scoring system incorporated into the "MY FANTASY RACER" format provides a fair and equal playing field for all contestants regardless of current driving ability. It takes much more than simply being a good driver to prevail in this show. It takes cunning, wit, and ability to adapt to constantly changing strategies to fend off the challengers. Each player will randomly select his or her placement on one of four teams of four and they will compete together in our various team events while at the same time playing individually against all other contestants, including their own teammates. Points are paramount and survival is the key to avoiding possible elimination before each episode’s main event, the 40 Lap Shoot-Out Race.
After each point building competition, whether a team or individual event, the scoreboard will be updated and contestants will know exactly where they stand at all times. They must remain ever vigilant and crafty to if they hope to battle back from any deficit. Prior to the Shoot-Out Race, the low point earner on each time will be eliminated leaving the remaining 12 to move on and compete in the Shoot-Out Race. Depending upon point earnings, the winner of the race may or may not be the winner of the show. The high point earner overall will prevail becoming the winner with all the bragging rights and cash prizes. We believe this will create adequate conflict causing interesting alliances and rivalries to be formed on each team and across team lines. Remember, the low point earner on one team may have a higher score than a high point earner on another and yet, he or she will be eliminated. As the episode progresses, the level of competition will intensify.
All events will be filmed at the Nashville Super Speedway, a 1.25 mile paved and banked track located just outside of Nashville in Lebanon, Tennessee. With the roots of NASCAR style racing being birthed in the south, and many of the early driver’s being known Moon Shine Runners, Nashville provides a perfect backdrop as a Southern Welcoming City blending a modern day metropolis with a well preserved heritage. As the Music City USA, we have an endless array of exciting venues to observe our contestants outside the spirit of competition and in a more social setting. During each episode, we will take our contestants out on the town for dinner and music.
Reducing four days of filming to a 44 minute episode assures us that every episode will be action packed with plenty edge of the seat excitement for all. It assures that although we will follow the same format throughout the regular season, it is virtually impossible for any two groups to have the exact same experience thereby keeping "MY FANTASY RACER" like a breath of fresh air, always new and different. And to pack a real wallop to our regular season and set the stage for the following season’s premier, our exciting two hour Season Finale takes a turn and becomes something even more. It is our Championship Challenge, which brings back all of our 12 previous weekly winners in a head-to-head competition for the title of Grand Champion and a cash purse of $250,000.00. The footage left behind can be used to expand the season to meet potential network demands at little or no extra cost beyond post production editing.
Our previous winners will have already completed the training and only a short refresher course will be required. This will be completed in the morning of the first day. The Shoot-Out Race will be expanded from 40 laps (50 miles) to 80 laps (100 miles). In addition to our NASCAR style racing, we will host a Road Course Race using either Dodge Vipers (based on Sponsorship) or high performance Corvettes (offered by Bob Bondurant Racing).
Additionally, where during the previous 12 weeks our focus has been predominantly on the Contestant Experience, we will now focus more on individual Character development with one-on-one interviews and a closer look at who the contestants are. The winner will also receive a vacation for four to the racing venue of their choice, complete with tickets to all VIP events and on-site camping in a custom motor coach. Finally. they will be contracted to appear in two pre-season commercials and serve as the following season’s Grand Marshall giving the command for the Shoot-Out Race and those most famous words in Motor Sports; "Ladies and Gentlemen, start your engine."
